insor Arthur Cooper Sr. was born to the late Sedonia and Charles Cooper on November 1, 1919 in Lawnside, New Jersey. He was the fourth of thirteen brothers and sisters. He and his loving wife, Marian Wright were eternally united in marriage in 1942. Out of this union were born four children: Winsor Jr., Anne, Rodney and Derrik. Winsor was a dedicated employee with Allied Chemical for 31 years. One night he had a visitation and a bright light shone throughout the room, and a hand laid across his chest and the voice said “fear not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which He shall show you today.” He was called into ministry at the age of 39. He studied at Manna Bible Institute, and was ordained in 1978. He pastored at First Union Baptist Church in Newtonville, New Jersey for 21 years. Outside of the church he ministered to those in need at various nursing homes, prisons and the youth at the Camden County Youth Center. In addition, he was a Scoutmaster of troop 45 for 20 years and started the first drum & bugle Corp in the Boy Scouts of America.. Among his notable achievements was his induction into the Haddon Heights High School Hall of Fame, for his track record and the medal he received for his distinguished services as a sergeant in the United States Army during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Region. His testimony and works were published in a book called Hungry Ghost, written by Mary Taylor Previte. Reverend Cooper departed this life very peacefully on November 4, 1999.
errik Alexander Cooper Sr. Was born to Marian & Winsor Cooper. He began his ministry in the early 70's when he founded First Christway Church which was located at 5th & Cooper St. in Camden, New Jersey. He pastored this church for 16 years before moving to Georgia in 1989. Like Moses of old he traveled through his wilderness where he was tested and tried on the principles that he taught over the years. Now he returns with a more expanded view of religion and God’s love for humanity and His overall expectance for humankind. The Enlightenment Center for non-violent spiritual, self and social transformation is the next step in the evolution of the revelation about the all encompassing love of God.
