avid Alexander Cooper
Born February 24, 1975 in Camden, NJ. Moved to Georgia in February 1989 where he attended Cedar Grove High School. From there he attended Georgia State University and graduated June of 2000 with a Bachelors in Philosophy of Religion and a minor in Finance. From there he studied at EPI on route to obtaining a Masters of Divinity degree. He is the author of “Between Heaven & Hell, One Man’s Search for Truth” which is a work in progress. On May 5, 1997 he attended Shepherds Door in Conyers Georgia where Beth Bonner is Pastor and the following words were spoken to him:
"Young man never, never, never doubt those things God is putting in your mind. The things he is quickening in your spirit, that you are saying I’m just not sure. You are hearing a new sound, there are some new sounds that are going to come forth in the body of Christ. There are also some new things that are going to begin to happen and stir your tradition around and you are going to have to go in a different direction. It is like a whirlwind coming on you brother. It’s a new day and chains are going to begin to break off our minds and theories are going to be put under the blood, but God has got to take everything to ground zero so that he can build it back up.
I also see a vineyard and your feet are in sandals and there are thorns. I am not sure why it’s a vineyard and there are thorns, but there are and as you walk the flesh is ripped from your feet. As you move beyond where the growth is and as you see the weeds beyond that is a river almost like a lake, but its moving. The thorns represent people that you love those things trying to hold you, but once you rip clean your going to rip out with you all the weeds and they are going to be cleaned as well and as you move through them if you let it hurt for a little while; as Paul said how shall we compare this present suffering with the joy that is set before us. God knows what is coming but go through it and take the weeds when you go and there going to be changed as well. Then your going to get to the river and be totally healed, set free, put in order; put where you belong and everybody’s gonna know it, and there will be no doubt that you went the right way."
From that point on David has been convinced that the path he began in 1995 is the way that he must go. He challenges in a non-threatening way views of ignorance that refuse to expand their definitions of God and His Love for The WORLD. All great religious moves of God were first perceived as Heresy. With this in mind he walks boldly.
